Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in special education or related field
- Current state teaching certification in special education
- Experience with a variety of learning disabilities and behavioral challenges
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Ability to develop and adapt Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Collaborative mindset to work closely with general education teachers, support staff, and families
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging lessons tailored to students’ unique learning styles and needs
- Assess, track, and document student progress toward IEP goals
- Modify curriculum as necessary to support academic growth
- Foster an inclusive classroom environment that promotes respect and participation
- Communicate regularly with parents and caregivers regarding student progress
- Participate in IEP meetings and successfully implement agreed-upon accommodations
- Maintain compliance with all state and federal special education regulations
