Desired Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Special Education or related field
- Valid teaching certification in Special Education
- Previous classroom experience supporting students with special needs
- Strong understanding of IEP development, implementation, and compliance
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work with students, staff, and parents
- Ability to adapt lessons and instructional techniques to meet diverse student needs
- Organizational skills to manage documentation and progress monitoring
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to each student’s strengths and areas for growth
- Modify curriculum and instructional methods to ensure meaningful access for all learners
- Lead small group and one-on-one instruction, tracking and reporting progress regularly
- Foster an inclusive classroom environment that promotes self-advocacy, growth, and independence
- Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and related service providers
- Maintain thorough records in accordance with legal and school requirements
- Communicate clearly with families and guardians to share progress and address concerns
- Participate actively in team, staff, and IEP meetings as needed
