Make a difference supporting students as a Special Education Teacher for a dynamic elementary classroom. This full-time contract opportunity runs from August 7, 2026, to May 28, 2027, working onsite in a moderate to severe needs setting. You'll join a dedicated team committed to helping each child achieve their full potential in a supportive, resource-rich environment.
Key Qualifications:
- Active Colorado Department of Education (CDE) Special Education Teacher credential required
- Successful experience managing moderate to severe special education caseloads in elementary settings
- Strong understanding of IEP development, tracking, and implementation for diverse learners
- Ability to adapt curriculum and instructional strategies to support individual student needs
- Skilled in collaborating with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, therapists, and families
- Excellent classroom management abilities and a compassionate, patient approach
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction to students with diverse needs in accordance with their IEPs
- Create a safe, inclusive, engaging classroom environment using evidence-based practices
- Collect, document, and analyze student data to inform instructional decisions and monitor progress
- Participate actively in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and interdisciplinary collaboration
- Provide guidance and support to paraprofessional staff to ensure consistency and quality of student experiences
- Modify and adapt instructional materials to be accessible and meaningful for all learners
