This contract role runs from late August 2026 through early June 2027, offering opportunity to support and empower students as a Special Education Teacher. Immerse yourself in a collaborative, in-person setting and enjoy a unique schedule with Mondays off—a four-day work week from Tuesday to Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM, totaling 34 hours per week.
What We’re Looking For:
- Current and active Colorado Department of Education Special Education teacher licensure (CDE SPED).
- Experience supporting students with significant needs at the elementary level.
- Demonstrated ability to adapt lessons, differentiate instruction, and develop IEPs tailored to individual students.
- Strong communication skills for collaborating with parents, staff, and support personnel.
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive learning environment.
Your Role:
- Deliver specialized instruction and classroom support for students with significant support needs.
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in accordance with district and state guidelines.
- Employ evidence-based strategies to address behavioral, academic, and social needs.
- Work closely with multidisciplinary teams—including speech, occupational therapy, and general education staff.
- Foster positive relationships with students and families, ensuring open lines of communication about goals and progress.
- Support students’ social-emotional growth and promote independence within and beyond the classroom.
