Desired Qualifications:
- Valid Illinois LBS1 and PEL certification (required)
- Experience working with elementary-age students, particularly those with autism
- Strong classroom management and individualized instructional planning skills
- Demonstrated ability to foster supportive, inclusive, and engaging classroom communities
- Excellent communication, organization, and collaboration skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to student needs
- Collaborate closely with paraprofessionals, ensuring effective teamwork and student support
- Modify and adapt curriculum content to provide accessible and meaningful instruction
- Communicate progress regularly with families and multidisciplinary team members
