Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Texas Special Education Teaching Certification required
- Experience working with secondary-level students (9th-12th grade), preferred
- Skilled in developing individualized education plans and curriculum adaptations
- Compassionate, patient, and committed to student growth and success
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to partner with other educators, students, and families
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct instruction and support to students with significant needs in high school subjects
- Develop, adapt, and implement instructional materials to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities
- Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to foster an inclusive environment
- Monitor and document student progress toward IEP goals and participate in IEP meetings
- Communicate regularly with families, offering updates and resources as needed
