Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Special Education Teacher certification or equivalent (Missouri or eligible for reciprocity)
- Experience with K-2nd grade students preferred
- Strong understanding of IEP development & implementation
- Ability to create and adapt individualized lesson plans
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Team-oriented mindset with a commitment to collaboration
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver effective, differentiated instruction for a small group of K-2nd grade students
- Develop and manage individualized education programs (IEPs)
- Monitor student progress and regularly document results
- Work collaboratively with general education teachers, support staff, and families
- Foster an inclusive, positive classroom environment
- Implement appropriate behavioral and academic interventions
