Qualifications:
- Hold a valid Texas Special Education Teaching license
- Experience working with students with lower-incidence disabilities preferred
- Strong ability to design and implement individualized instructional plans
- Effective communicator and collaborative team member
- Commitment to fostering independence and life skills in students
Responsibilities:
- Maintain a caseload of approximately 5–10 students across varied age groups
- Develop and deliver instruction tailored to each student’s IEP goals
- Emphasize growth in functional academics, communication, and daily living skills
- Partner with other educators, families, and support staff for holistic student success
- Accurately track student progress and maintain required documentation
- Cultivate a supportive, inclusive classroom environment
- Assist students with transition planning as they move toward greater independence
This contract role provides a schedule of 32.5 to 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
