Key Qualities & Experience:
- Active Michigan Special Education Teacher license required (must provide screenshot of license)
- Experience working with high school students, particularly in Cognitive Impairment settings, preferred
- Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with fellow educators and support staff
- Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Commitment to fostering a positive, adaptive, and engaging classroom atmosphere
What You’ll Do:
- Plan and deliver specialized instruction designed to address diverse learning needs
- Develop and update IEPs, working closely with students, families, and school teams
- Adapt curriculum and teaching strategies to accommodate varied abilities
- Assess student progress and modify instructional methods as needed
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with regulations
- Support students’ academic, social, and behavioral development
- Collaborate in a supportive team environment committed to student success
