Qualifications & Experience:
- Active DE Special Education certification is required
- Prior experience working as a Special Education Teacher preferred
- Strong skills in differentiated instruction and inclusive classroom strategies
- Effective communicator who works collaboratively with general education staff
- Comfortable providing push-in services and leading small groups
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for each student
- Provide in-classroom support within general education English settings
- Lead and instruct two dedicated small group English classes for special education students
- Regularly assess student progress and adapt teaching strategies accordingly
- Communicate regularly with families and support teams
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations
