Special Education Teacher (Middle School 6–8) – ProCare Therapy
ProCare Therapy is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to join a charter school in Bedford, Indiana for the upcoming school year. This position supports students in grades 6–8 and offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact during a critical stage of academic and personal development.
Position Responsibilities
- Develop, manage, and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Provide specialized instruction and academic interventions
- Support students in inclusion, resource, and small-group settings
- Collaborate with general education teachers through co-teaching and consultation
- Monitor student progress and maintain compliance documentation
- Conduct case conferences and communicate regularly with families
- Implement Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) and classroom supports
- Foster organization, self-advocacy, study skills, and executive functioning development
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field
- Active Indiana Special Education Teaching License (Mild Intervention or applicable SPED endorsement)
- Knowledge of IDEA regulations and IEP compliance requirements
- Strong classroom management and collaboration skills
- Previous school-based experience preferred
