An exciting contract opportunity is available for two dedicated Special Education Teachers to work onsite for the upcoming school year, beginning August 13, 2026 and ending May 27, 2027. This position offers the chance to create inclusive, positive learning environments and collaborate alongside passionate educators.
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid teaching certification in Special Education
- Previous experience working within elementary or middle school resource settings preferred
- Strong ability to modify curriculum and tailor instructional strategies to meet diverse needs
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with staff, students, and families
- Ability to maintain accurate documentation and adhere to IEP requirements
- Commitment to fostering a positive, engaging, and supportive classroom atmosphere
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with a range of abilities and needs
- Deliver direct instruction in resource classroom settings and provide targeted interventions
- Collaborate with general education teachers, service providers, and families to ensure student progress
- Monitor, track, and report student growth and objectives in compliance with state and federal guidelines
- Support social-emotional and behavioral development through effective classroom management
- Participate in team meetings, professional development, and ongoing training
