Two openings are available—one each for elementary and middle school levels—beginning in mid-August and running through the end of May.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid Special Education Teaching certification for the state
- Experience working in elementary or middle school settings preferred
- Strong knowledge of IEP process and instructional strategies for diverse learners
- Ability to collaborate with colleagues, service providers, and families
- Effective communication and classroom management skills
- Commitment to inclusive education and student empowerment
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Provide instruction in resource classroom settings, supporting both academic and behavioral growth
- Adapt curriculum and modify lessons to accommodate diverse learning needs
- Collect data to assess progress and adjust interventions as needed
- Collaborate with general education teachers and related service staff
- Foster a positive, supportive environment that encourages student engagement
