Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid state certification in Special Education
- Experience working in classroom or resource settings with students requiring individualized support
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities with families, staff, and related services
- Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Familiarity with current special education laws and best practices
- Adaptability and creativity in delivering instruction and interventions
Primary Responsibilities:
- Plan, deliver, and modify instruction in alignment with IEP goals
- Monitor student progress and maintain accurate, timely records and reports
- Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and support personnel
- Participate in IEP meetings, evaluations, and multidisciplinary conferences
- Foster a safe, supportive, and positive classroom environment conducive to all learners
- Communicate regularly with parents and caregivers to discuss progress and address concerns
- Employ a variety of instructional techniques to accommodate individual student needs
