Key Qualifications:
- Valid state certification in Special Education
- Experience as a Special Education Teacher, Autism Specialist, or similar role within an elementary setting
- Expertise in designing and implementing individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with ASD
- Proficiency in utilizing research-backed teaching methods
- Strong collaborative skills for working with paraprofessionals, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Exceptional communication, patience, and adaptability in a dynamic classroom environment
Core Responsibilities:
- Create and deliver engaging lesson plans focused on the diverse needs of students with ASD
- Employ strategies to enhance academic achievement, communication, social interaction, and motor skills development
- Monitor student progress, adjusting instruction and interventions as necessary
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in compliance with all regulations and IEP requirements
