Special Education Teacher | Bolingbrook, Illinois

Desired Skills & Experience:
- Valid LBS1 certification required
- Previous experience as a Special Education Teacher, particularly in self-contained or inclusive settings
- Strong background in teaching math at the middle school level
- Ability to develop and implement IEPs, adapting instruction to diverse learning needs
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a knack for building positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized instruction in math and other relevant subjects to students in a self-contained setting
- Develop, update, and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to each student’s strengths and challenges
- Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and families to support student progress and inclusion
- Employ evidence-based teaching methods and classroom management techniques
- Track and document student growth, maintaining accurate records and data for ongoing progress monitoring
- Contribute to a positive school culture that values diversity, inclusion, and student achievement
