Special Education Teacher | Boston, Massachusetts

Required Qualifications:
- Valid Massachusetts Special Education License
- Moderate Disabilities teaching credential (MA Moderate License)
- Previous experience working with elementary-age students is strongly preferred
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with families, staff, and administrators
- Strong organizational abilities for managing case files and individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Demonstrated commitment to fostering an inclusive, positive classroom atmosphere
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored instruction to K-3rd grade students with moderate disabilities, adapting lessons to diverse learning styles
- Develop, implement, and regularly update IEPs in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team
- Track student progress and communicate updates to parents and other educators
- Foster an engaging and supportive learning environment within the elementary school
- Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and support staff to maximize student outcomes
- Participate in school meetings, professional development, and case conferences as needed
Employment Details:
- 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday schedule
