As part of a dedicated team, you’ll collaborate with educators, service providers, and families to maximize each student’s academic and social success.
Desired Qualifications:
- Active Massachusetts Severe Disabilities teaching license (required)
- Experience teaching or supporting elementary special education (grades 1 or 2 preferred)
- Deep understanding of substantially separate classroom strategies and IEP implementation
- Ability to create a positive, structured, and engaging classroom for children with significant learning differences
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with students, families, and colleagues
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, adapt, and deliver individualized instruction aligned with IEP goals for each student
- Maintain a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment
- Collect and analyze student data to inform instruction and monitor progress
- Partner with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, service providers, and families to ensure comprehensive support
- Participate in IEP meetings and ensure all documentation is completed in a timely and accurate manner
- Uphold compliance with state, federal, and school-specific special education regulations
This role offers up to $55 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
