Position Highlights:
- Deliver specialized instruction to elementary students (grades K-2) with severe needs by creating tailored lesson plans and individualized education programs (IEPs)
- Maintain a supportive and structured classroom environment that fosters growth for students with diverse learning needs
- Collaborate with general education teachers, paraeducators, therapists, and families to ensure holistic support for each student
- Assess student progress, collect data, and adjust strategies as needed to help meet goals
- Uphold all compliance standards as outlined by state and federal law
- Communicate consistently with parents and caregivers to encourage student achievement
Key Qualifications:
- Valid MA Special Education Teacher license required
- Previous experience teaching students with significant needs at the elementary level strongly preferred
- Understanding of IEP processes, behavioral intervention strategies, and differentiated instruction
- Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
