Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum of one year of classroom teaching experience required
- Active Colorado Department of Education (CDE) license, or in the process of obtaining (must provide evidence with your resume)
- Experience in special education and a genuine desire to create positive outcomes for students with unique needs
- Proven ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Strong communication, organization, and adaptability skills
Role Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and adapt individualized lesson plans for students with varying learning needs
- Provide academic, behavioral, and social-emotional support in accordance with IEPs
- Collaborate with general education teachers, related services staff, and families to ensure student progress
- Manage and document student goals and progress while maintaining compliance with state and federal regulations
- Participate in team meetings, parent conferences, and ongoing professional development
- Foster a positive, engaging, and respectful classroom environment
