What We're Looking For:
- Current and valid Special Education Teacher certification and state license
- Experience teaching at the elementary and/or middle school level (K-8 preferred)
- In-depth understanding of IEP development and implementation
- Strong skills in developing and delivering small group or individualized instruction, especially for reading and math interventions
- Ability to collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families
- Excellent communication, organization, and documentation abilities
- Commitment to building supportive learning environments tailored to diverse student needs
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- Deliver pull-out special education services for elementary and middle school students with learning differences
- Assess student strengths and areas for growth, using data to tailor interventions
- Collaborate with classroom teachers to ensure instructional continuity and student success
- Monitor progress and modify instruction based on student response
- Develop and implement IEP goals in compliance with state and federal regulations
- Maintain ongoing communication with parents, caregivers, and professionals
- Document services provided and progress notes with accuracy and timeliness
