Special Education Teacher - Columbus, GA
Sunbelt Staffing is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teacher for a full-time elementary school position near Columbus, Georgia. Position Details
Full-time position
Elementary school setting
Caseload of approximately 10–15 students
Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs)
Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families
Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation
Create an inclusive and engaging learning environment that supports academic and social growth
Qualifications
Active Georgia Special Education Teaching License
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education or related field
Previous school-based experience preferred
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Ability to manage IEPs and maintain compliance with state and federal regulations
Responsibilities
Provide specialized instruction aligned with student IEP goals
Adapt curriculum and teaching strategies to meet individual student needs
Conduct assessments and progress monitoring
Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions
Foster positive relationships with students, families, and staff
