Desired Qualifications:
- Valid Georgia Special Education General Curriculum certification covering all core academic areas (Reading, Math, Science, Language Arts, Social Studies)
- Demonstrated knowledge of effective behavior intervention strategies and strong classroom management skills
- Experience developing, writing, and implementing IEPs (Individualized Education Programs)
- Proven ability to collaborate with families, administrators, and multidisciplinary teams
- Three professional references required for interview consideration (including one recent supervisor)
- Previous experience in GNETS or alternative settings, along with CPI, de-escalation, or advanced behavior management training, are preferred
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized instruction tailored to student IEP goals
- Implement positive behavior supports and intervention plans
- Regularly monitor student progress and maintain compliance documentation
- Foster a safe, structured, and inclusive classroom environment
- Work collaboratively with support teams, families, and related service providers
