Special Education Teacher | Brighton, Colorado
Step into a rewarding contract position shaping the educational experience of young learners as a Special Education Teacher. This engaging, full-time opportunity begins in early August 2026 and continues through late May 2027. You'll work exclusively onsite, supporting a resource caseload at the elementary level and collaborating closely with a dedicated school community.
Key Qualifications:
- Must be bilingual in Spanish to effectively communicate with students and families
- Holds, or is in the process of obtaining, a valid CDE license (applications without license or COOL documentation will not be considered)
- At least one year of classroom experience in a special education setting
- Strong collaborative skills and willingness to be a flexible, supportive team member
Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized instruction and support tailored to individual student needs
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in alignment with district and state guidelines
- Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to foster an inclusive learning environment
- Communicate proactively with families and guardians in both English and Spanish regarding student goals and progress
- Manage case files, track student progress, and maintain compliance with documentation requirements
- Embrace teamwork and adapt to the evolving needs of students and colleagues
