Special Education Teacher in Brighton, CO

Preferred Qualifications:
- Minimum of one year of classroom experience in special education.
- Active CDE (Colorado Department of Education) license, or currently in process—required for consideration.
- Proven ability to work flexibly and cooperatively with colleagues.
- Proficient in adapting curriculum and instructional strategies to meet diverse learner needs.
- Strong organizational skills for case management, documentation, and progress monitoring.
Role Highlights:
- Facilitate small-group and one-on-one instruction, tailored to students’ individual education plans.
- Collaborate with general education teachers and specialists to ensure student success in inclusive settings.
- Communicate regularly with parents, teachers, and support staff regarding student progress and goals.
- Accurately maintain student records and documentation as required by school policies.
- Participate in professional development and ongoing team meetings.
This position offers a consistent school-year schedule (Monday through Friday, 37.5 hours weekly with paid and unpaid lunch breaks) within a supportive and innovative school community.
