Special Education Teacher | Brighton, Colorado
Bring your passion for empowering students to a supportive educational environment as a Special Education Teacher specializing in Significant Support Needs (SSN). This contracted opportunity runs from August 20th, 2026, through June 3rd, 2027, offering stability and the chance to make a real difference in the lives of young learners. With a four-day workweek—Tuesday through Friday, from 7:30 am to 4:30 pm—you’ll enjoy a long weekend every week while engaging in deeply meaningful work onsite.
Key Requirements:
- Valid CDE Special Education Teacher licensure
- Experience teaching students with significant support needs preferred
- Strong collaborative and communication skills
- Ability to create individualized education plans (IEPs) and adapt curriculum
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive, respectful classroom environment
Responsibilities Include:
- Delivering specialized instruction tailored to each student’s unique needs
- Collaborating with parents, therapists, and school staff to support student growth
- Developing and monitoring progress on IEP goals for each student
- Maintaining accurate documentation of student achievement and behavior
- Implementing positive behavior supports and inclusive classroom strategies
- Engaging regularly in team meetings and professional development
