Qualifications and Experience:
- Active Massachusetts Severe Disabilities teaching license required
- Experience as a Special Education Teacher, ideally in substantially separate or similar settings working with grades 1–3
- Solid understanding of IEP development, progress monitoring, and goal implementation
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills with families, related service providers, and support staff
- Ability to develop and adapt lesson plans based on student needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement IEP-driven instruction tailored to diverse learning styles and abilities
- Support students in developing social-emotional and behavioral skills in addition to academic growth
- Coordinate with general and special educators, therapists, and families to ensure comprehensive support
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and adapt strategies as needed
- Cultivate a positive, inclusive, and structured classroom environment
