- Dripping Springs High School – work within an inclusion model, collaborating closely with general education teachers to support students in mainstream classrooms.
- Cypress Springs Elementary – take the lead in a self-contained classroom (STARS program), providing focused instruction and a nurturing environment for students with a range of abilities.
Desired Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Special Education or a related field
- Active Special Education teaching certification (Texas or reciprocal)
- Previous experience in inclusion and/or self-contained special education settings preferred
- Familiarity with individualized education programs (IEP) and data-driven instruction
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Creative, adaptive, and committed to student-centered learning
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver instruction aligned to each student’s IEP, adapting teaching strategies as needed
- Facilitate a positive, engaging classroom culture where all students can thrive
- Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and support staff
- Regularly monitor and document student progress; participate in ARD/IEP meetings
- Foster open communication with families and caregivers to support student success
- Uphold all district, state, and federal special education requirements
