Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid Idaho Exceptional Child Certificate (REQUIRED)
- Idaho State Teaching Certificate
- Special Education endorsement
- Previous experience in an Extended Resource Classroom (ERC) or similar environment preferred
- Ability to effectively assist with toileting and personal care needs
- Strong collaborative skills and comfort working with multidisciplinary teams
- Experience or willingness to work with students across a spectrum of disabilities (mild, moderate, severe, medically fragile)
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and group instruction aligned with IEP goals for K-12 students
- Adapt curriculum and modify lessons to meet a wide range of learning abilities and needs
- Implement behavioral and academic interventions using evidence-based practices
- Collaborate seamlessly with general education staff, therapists, aides, and families
- Participate actively in IEP meetings, case management, and progress monitoring
- Maintain thorough records and documentation in line with school and district practices
