About the Position
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teacher to provide virtual educational support and specialized instruction to students in early childhood and elementary school. The ideal candidate is passionate about helping students with diverse learning needs succeed in an engaging, supportive, and inclusive virtual learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) aligned with student needs and educational goals.
- Provide virtual, individualized and small-group instruction.
- Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies as needed.
- Collaborate with parents, general education teachers, related service providers, and school teams.
- Maintain accurate documentation, progress reports, and IEP records.
- Use evidence-based teaching strategies to support academic, behavioral, social, and developmental growth.
Qualifications
- MUST HAVE Valid Vermont teaching certification or endorsement appropriate for special education in early childhood and elementary education.
- Experience working with students with disabilities in early childhood and/or elementary settings preferred.
- Knowledge of IEP development, progress monitoring, and differentiated instruction.
- Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills.
- Ability to provide effective instruction in a remote learning environment.
- Reliable internet access and comfort using virtual educational platforms.
