Qualifications and Experience Sought:
- Valid Minnesota Teaching Credential in Special Education: Developmental Cognitive Disabilities (required)
- Demonstrated experience teaching in a center-based classroom, preferably within high school settings
- Strong understanding of and commitment to individualized educational programming
- Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and families
- Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality instruction in a structured classroom environment for students with cognitive disabilities
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in accordance with state and federal guidelines
- Monitor student progress, adapting instructional methods as needed to promote success
- Partner with support staff, therapists, and administration to ensure best outcomes for every learner
