Special Education Teacher - Burnsville, MN

Full-time Special Education Teacher roles are available at both RiverEast Day School and Highland Park Middle School, each supporting a caseload of approximately 20 students and working closely with paraeducators and behavioral aides to deliver individualized instruction. Part-time opportunities include placements at Highland Park Elementary and an additional site to be disclosed. There is also a potential early childhood position focused on home-based services, ideal for those passionate about early intervention.
Qualifications:
- Current Minnesota teaching license in Special Education (Required)
- Experience with diverse student populations and differentiated instruction
- Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
- Ability to adapt to changing environments, including possible home visits for early childhood assignments
- Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning atmosphere
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with exceptional needs
- Collaborate with families, paraeducators, aides, and school staff to optimize student progress
