Qualifications and Requirements:
- Active Massachusetts teaching license/certification in Moderate or Severe Disabilities (required)
- Demonstrated experience working in school-based settings, preferably with elementary students and special education populations
- Ability to manage and tailor instructional strategies to a caseload of 2nd and 3rd grade students with developmental or intellectual delays
- Successful completion of CORI background check and fingerprints (letter of suitability from previous employer may be accepted for fingerprints)
- Professionalism and adaptability for a contract, onsite role
- Capable of participating in a Zoom interview as part of the hiring process
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) aligning with student needs
- Deliver instruction and support services that foster learning, independence, and growth
- Collaborate with teachers, paraprofessionals, families, and specialists to ensure comprehensive student support
- Monitor progress and maintain thorough documentation
- Participate in IEP meetings and parent communications
