Qualifications & Experience:
- Current Special Education Teacher licensure for moderate disabilities, grades 5-12.
- Experience working with high school students in a special education setting.
- Proficiency in teaching and tutoring high school-level math concepts and adapting instruction to diverse learning needs.
- Comfortable with virtual/online teaching platforms and technology.
- Excellent communication skills, patience, and a genuine passion for helping students achieve their goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized virtual tutoring to a high school student with special education needs, focusing on math competencies.
- Develop and adapt lesson plans and strategies according to the student’s IEP and learning profile.
- Track student progress through assessments, regular feedback, and progress notes.
- Foster a positive, empowering learning environment—encouraging the student’s active participation and self-confidence.
- Collaborate effectively with educational teams and families as needed to ensure consistency and ongoing support.
