Special Education Teacher | Cambridge, Massachusetts

Qualifications:
- Possession of a valid Massachusetts special education teaching certification
- Experience working with elementary school-aged students preferred
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with colleagues, families, and support staff
- Ability to create individualized education plans (IEPs) and adapt instruction
- A commitment to student advocacy and inclusion
Role Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement specialized lesson plans for elementary students according to IEP goals
- Provide differentiated instruction in both individual and small group settings
- Monitor student progress and adjust strategies to maximize learning outcomes
- Maintain documentation and participate in IEP meetings as required
- Foster a supportive classroom environment that encourages student independence
