Located in the greater Carlisle area, this contract position offers a supportive team atmosphere and opportunities for professional growth. The schedule runs approximately 7:30 AM to 3 PM, Monday through Friday, enabling you to maintain a consistent workday while making a difference in students’ lives.
What You Should Bring:
- Active Pennsylvania Special Education Endorsement is required
- Experience or confidence in writing and executing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Familiarity with co-teaching models, especially in Science and Mathematics
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with teachers, families, and support staff
- A caring attitude, patience, and ability to inspire high school students with diverse abilities
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop and adapt lessons for Science and Mathematics to meet IEP goals
- Collaborate in a co-teaching resource setting to provide targeted interventions and supports
- Foster a positive, inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and growth
- Maintain accurate records and progress reports according to state and district requirements
- Communicate with parents, general education teachers, and other professionals to support student success
