Qualifications:
- Active Idaho special education teaching license required
- Experience in Special Education, particularly in Life Skills settings, is highly valued
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with students, families, and staff
- Demonstrated creativity and problem-solving skills in adapting curriculum and instruction
- A commitment to fostering a positive, accommodating, and growth-oriented classroom culture
Responsibilities:
- Deliver tailored instruction and interventions for Life Skills students, addressing academic, social, and practical learning goals
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) in accordance with students’ unique needs
- Work closely with families, related service providers, and fellow educators to coordinate supports and ensure student progress
- Maintain accurate records and ongoing documentation to monitor student achievement
- Contribute to a collaborative, engaging, and respectful classroom environment, celebrating diverse abilities
