Qualifications:
- Must hold active Maryland Special Education Certification.
- Experience with self-contained elementary classrooms preferred.
- Familiarity with Read 180, iSPIRE, Bridges, or Orton-Gillingham (preferred, but willing to train).
- Strong organizational skills for documentation and IEP compliance.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver instruction to elementary students in a self-contained setting, adapting curriculum for diverse learning needs.
- Implement and assess individual student interventions.
- Maintain IEP documentation and participate in meetings (IEP Day usually Tuesdays).
- Collaborate with school staff, family members, and service providers.
- Full-time schedule: 32 hours/week, Monday–Friday. Variable start/end times between 7:30 AM-3:45 PM.
