Special Education Teacher (3 Openings)
We are seeking dedicated Special Education Teachers to join for the 2026–2027 school year. This is an excellent opportunity for passionate educators looking to make a meaningful impact in a supportive school environment. Schedule:
37.5 Hours per Week - Standard school hours based on campus schedule.
Position Openings:
- 1 Self-Contained Classroom - Grade Levels: K–4
- 2 Resource Classrooms - Grade Levels: 6–8
Position Details:
Contract Dates: 2026–2027 School Year (August 2026 – May 2027)
Number of School Sites: Setting: Elementary and Middle School
Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized instruction to students with diverse learning needs
- Develop, implement, and manage Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Collaborate with general education teachers, families, and support staff
- Maintain student progress reports and required documentation
- Foster a structured, inclusive, and positive learning environment
- Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and team collaboration
- Ensure compliance with state, federal, and district special education regulations
Qualifications:
- Active North Carolina Special Education license required
- Previous classroom or school-based experience preferred
- Strong communication and classroom management skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
