This full-time, onsite contract role offers stability with two positions available, both focused on grades K-2. What You'll Bring:
- Current active certification or licensure suitable for a K-2 caseload
- Bachelor’s degree, with eligibility for an emergency teaching permit
- Demonstrated mastery of relevant subject matter and evidence of effective instructional methods
- Prior experience in school settings, preferably in urban environments
- Strong classroom and behavioral management capabilities
- Familiarity and comfort with district practices and location
- Proven adaptability in diverse classrooms and sensitivity to students’ varied learning needs
- Reliable transportation for daily onsite work
- Ability to work the full schedule: 8:30 AM–4:00 PM; please note that specific accommodations for schedules cannot be provided
- Completion of all Pennsylvania clearances prior to start
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
- Creating and implementing lesson plans tailored to state and district standards using formative assessment and differentiation techniques
- Providing engaging, inclusive instruction to K-2 students in a special education setting
- Managing classrooms effectively to foster a positive, safe, and stimulating learning environment
- Preparing instructional resources and maintaining accurate records in compliance with district protocols
- Collaborating with other educators, families, and stakeholders to maximize student progress
