What we’re seeking:
- Active certification or licensure aligned with your caseload responsibilities
- Bachelor’s degree required for candidates utilizing an emergency teaching permit
- Demonstrated command of special education instructional techniques and course-related materials
- Experience in elementary school environments and strong familiarity with urban school settings
- Reliable transportation and ability to consistently work onsite between 8:30AM-4PM
- Up-to-date PA clearances, or eligibility to obtain them
- Outstanding classroom and behavioral management skills
- Adeptness in differentiating instruction, creating engaging lesson plans, and using formative assessment based on current state and district standards
- Comfort adapting to district protocols and onsite requirements
- Readiness for a Zoom interview as part of the process
Key responsibilities:
- Deliver dynamic teaching and individualized support to students in K-2 special education classrooms
- Design and implement lesson plans that address diverse learning needs and follow state and district guidelines
- Foster a supportive classroom climate and manage behavior with proven techniques
- Collaborate with colleagues and support staff to ensure student success
