What We're Looking For:
- Valid LBS1 certification required
- Previous experience as a Special Education Teacher, preferably at the primary (K-1) level
- Strong classroom management abilities and experience in self-contained settings
- Ability to develop, adapt, and deliver individualized instructional plans
- Skill in collaborating with support staff, therapists, and families to best serve each student
- Compassionate, patient, and committed to empowering students with diverse learning needs
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
- Teaching and supporting a primary K-1 split self-contained instructional classroom
- Creating and adapting lessons to meet students’ IEP goals and learning styles
- Managing a single school assignment, focusing on relationship-building and consistency
- Implementing evidence-based strategies to ensure student growth and engagement
- Maintaining records, progress monitoring, and contributing to IEP meetings
