- Early Childhood Special Education
- Junior High (7th Grade) Self-contained Classroom
- PreK-2nd Grade Self-contained Classroom
- Resource Position serving Kindergarten through 2nd Grade
Preferred Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification for Illinois
- Experience adapting and modifying curriculum to meet diverse learning needs
- Strong communication skills for collaborating with students, families, and staff
- Dedication to fostering a supportive, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment
- Previous experience in similar educational settings is preferred, but passionate newcomers with appropriate credentials are also encouraged to apply
Role Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs)
- Collaborate closely with general educators, specialists, and support teams
- Track and document student progress, adjusting strategies as necessary
- Cultivate a positive classroom climate that encourages growth and confidence
- Participate in school-wide professional development and ongoing team meetings
