Qualifications and Experience:
- Current LBS1 endorsement required for consideration
- Previous experience and comfort with self-contained classroom environments strongly preferred
- Ability to adapt teaching strategies to individual student needs
- Strong commitment to fostering both academic and social-emotional growth
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students in self-contained classrooms
- Instruct and support students with diverse learning profiles, pacing lessons to ensure their success
- Collaborate with related service providers, paraprofessionals, and families to promote a positive and productive learning environment
- Monitor student progress, document goals, and adjust approaches to enhance learning outcomes
- Foster an inclusive, respectful classroom culture for students with varying abilities
