Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Special Education Teaching certification required
- Experience teaching in inclusion and/or resource classroom settings preferred
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- A commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive learning atmosphere
- Ability to manage a classroom and maintain effective documentation for a caseload of 10-15 students
Primary Responsibilities:
- Lead instruction for 3 inclusion classes and 2 resource classes, delivering engaging and differentiated lessons
- Serve as a dedicated resource for students with special needs, adapting materials and strategies to support individual learning
- Utilize 2 prep periods for lesson planning, collaboration, and documentation
- Maintain communication and collaboration with general educators, parents, and staff
- Work closely with the on-site Case Manager, who provides compliance oversight and ongoing support
- Track student progress, complete necessary paperwork, and participate in IEP meetings as needed
