What we’re looking for:
- Experience as a Special Education Teacher in school-based settings
- State certification in Special Education or eligibility for certification
- Familiarity with individualized instruction, IEP development, and progress monitoring
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with staff and families
- Ability to foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment
- Dedication to nurturing student development and academic success
Your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering engaging, individualized instruction aligned with IEP goals
- Creating a structured, caring classroom routine for kindergarten and first-grade students
- Monitoring and documenting student progress, adjusting methods as needed
- Collaborating daily with special education teaching partners and paraeducators
- Communicating with parents/guardians and related service staff to support student achievement
- Utilizing building-provided instructional materials and resources for lesson planning and intervention
Role specifics:
- Full-time, Monday through Friday, 7:40 a.m. – 2:40 p.m.
- Contract runs ASAP through October 31, 2026
- Alternative full-time schedules may be considered when needed
- Onsite only; remote or hybrid arrangements are not available
