What We’re Looking For:
- Valid Illinois Special Education Teaching License with LBS1 endorsement
- Professional Educator License (PEL) required
- Previous experience in self-contained or therapeutic day school settings highly valued
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills

- Exceptional abilities in tailoring curriculum to meet diverse student needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver instruction and manage a self-contained caseload of elementary-aged students
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) in collaboration with school specialists and families
- Adapt teaching materials and methods to ensure learning accessibility
- Monitor, document, and report on student progress towards IEP goals
- Establish and maintain a safe, positive classroom environment conducive to learning and behavioral growth
- Communicate regularly with parents, support staff, and administrators
- Participate in IEP meetings and student support planning
- Uphold compliance with state and federal special education regulations
