Qualifications & Preferred Experience:
- LBS1 (Learning Behavior Specialist) certification required, covering grades 10-12
- Experience with mild-moderate learning disabilities or ASD preferred
- Ability to write and implement IEPs is mandatory
- High school special education teaching experience and bilingual skills are desirable but not necessary
Key Responsibilities:
- Full-time schedule: Mon-Fri, 8:30AM–3:45PM or 8:45AM–4:00PM (including lunch and planning)
- Wednesdays: Half day with extended lunch
- Rolling caseload, typically managing between 5-10 students at a time, never exceeding 20 in the program
- Professional collaboration with onsite case manager
- Adapting teaching models to best support student success
