The role is full-time, averaging 37.5 hours per week, in a nurturing environment dedicated to making a positive impact.
You’ll collaborate with fellow educators to deliver individualized support to a small caseload of approximately 8-10 elementary students, primarily in 1st and 2nd grades, with some Kindergartners. The classroom emphasizes inclusion and fosters development in children exhibiting a range of learning profiles and behaviors, including autism, significant developmental and speech/language delays, self-regulation challenges, and learning disabilities. While toileting or diapering is not required, occasional supervision is needed for a student with a toileting goal.
Ideal Experience and Credentials:
- Current and active GaPSC Teaching license, including P-12 SPED endorsement and Dyslexia endorsement (required)
- Demonstrated experience working in inclusive or special education environments
- Prior involvement with PreK-2nd grade age groups preferred
- Strong skills in implementing individualized education plans (IEPs), differentiating instruction, and supporting students with diverse learning needs
- Positive, patient, and collaborative approach to working with students and colleagues

- Support positive behavioral strategies and self-regulation skill-building
- Collaborate regularly with general education teachers, specialists, and families
