Skills & Experience Sought:
- Valid teaching certification with Special Education credentials
- Proven experience working with students in any of the following: Pre-K, Kindergarten, 1st–12th grade, Early Childhood, or across K–12 settings
- Strong background in differentiated instruction and IEP implementation
- Ability to teach math concepts and adapt curriculum for diverse learners
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with families, administration, and support staff
- Familiarity with best practices in behavioral supports and classroom management
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction to students throughout the K–12 continuum, individually and in classroom settings
- Create and update Individualized Education Plans, ensuring both compliance and student-centered goals
- Adapt lesson plans for math and other core subjects, based on student ability and grade level
- Track student progress, maintain accurate records, and provide regular updates to families and staff
- Foster an inclusive environment that addresses academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs
- Serve as a resource on special education issues and participate in IEP and staff meetings
